Baan Manali Resort sits beside Nai Wok Beach in Thong Sala, on Koh Phangan's west coast. The beach is 50 m away, while Pleayleam Beach is 550 m from the resort. Thong Sala, the island's port town, is 700 m away; its markets and ferry connections give the area a lively local centre, while the resort's garden and beachfront setting are quieter. Nai Wok's shallow water can look different with the tides, so its shoreline is not always suited to swimming.
Koh Phangan has no airport, and most arrivals come by boat to Thong Sala. Ko Pha-ngan Pier is 850 m from the resort, making the final stretch possible on foot or by shared songthaew from town. From Koh Samui International Airport, the piers are a 10–15-minute transfer away, followed by a boat crossing to Thong Sala that takes about 20–30 minutes. An airport shuttle is available at the resort, but there is no on-site parking. Check-in is between 14:00 and 22:00.
Phantip Market, 600 m away, is a place to browse local food and goods, and Koh Phangan Public Park is 800 m from the resort. Phaeng Waterfall lies 4 km away, with trails and cascades in the island's interior. The monthly Full Moon Party venue at Haad Rin is about a 15-minute drive. On the west coast, swimming conditions change with the season: higher tides run from October through March, while lower tides from April to September can make swimming difficult at Nai Wok. Windsurfing, canoeing and snorkelling are available at the resort.
Guests frequently praise the peaceful setting within walking distance of the pier and night markets, as well as the helpful staff. The pool and beachfront restaurant also receive positive comments. Some visitors note that Nai Wok's shallow, muddy water is not well suited to swimming.
